True North Membership Classes

Interested in becoming a member of True North? Spring Membership Classes will be held both Sundays on March 15th and March 22nd.

Classes will take place at Highway in room A2 before service at 1:45pm.

Why Membership?
The local church isn't an optional part of following Jesus, it's the very vehicle He established for it (Matthew 16:18-19). Jesus built His church, the apostles did their ministry through it, and the Christian life in the New Testament is inseparable from church life. We believe the same should be true today here at True North.

Membership is how that commitment becomes real. It's a public profession of your faith in Christ, and a declaration that you belong to this body of believers. Just as Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 12, the church is one body made up of many members diverse in background, united in Spirit, and each part essential to the whole.

Membership is also how you:

  • fulfill your responsibilities as a disciple

  • serve as part of a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9)

  • row together into the fullness of Christ (Eph. 4:15-16)

  • how pastors and elders know who they are shepherding and giving account for

  • how you know whose leadership to follow and submit to in your walk with God (Heb. 13:17)
