Let's Talk Parenting with Dr. Yoonhee Kim

The Education Ministry invites you to an evening of insight with Dr. Yoonhee Kim as we explore the profound connection between clinical psychology and Christian faith. Parenting in today’s world often feels like swimming against the current. How do we nurture our children's mental and emotional well-being while remaining firmly rooted in Gospel truths?

Whether you are chasing after a busy toddler or navigating the turbulent teen years, join us for an invaluable conversation on parenting in a counter-cultural way. We will move beyond "quick fixes" to look at the heart of the child, honoring the Lord through a deeper understanding of the minds He created.

  • Date: Saturday, March 28th

  • Time: 4:00-5:30PM

  • Location: Highway Church (Sanctuary)

About the Speaker

Dr. Yoonhee Kim is a clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric psychology, with a focus on pediatric chronic pain. She earned her doctorate through Palo Alto University–Stanford Consortium and completed her internship at Johns Hopkins University/Kennedy Krieger Institute and her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Kim's research has centered on Asian and Asian American families and mental health, with recent work examining chronic pain in Asian American youth. She is passionate about supporting families through evidence-based, culturally attuned care. Outside of work, she enjoys good coffee with her husband and doting on their three daughters. Above all, she is a disciple of Jesus -- seeking to live, parent, and serve in a manner that honors Him.
